Get Ready for Young Leaders Initiative 2015!

In 2014, over 65 participants from 23 colleges and universities joined hundreds of national Catholic social ministry and advocacy leaders at the Catholic Social Ministry Gathering, an annual event presented by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and 16 other national Catholic organizations (including ACCU!).

The 2015 Gathering is Feb. 7-10, 2015 in Washington, DC. This year’s theme is To Go Forth: Encountering Christ in the Heart of the World.  We hope to see you there!

The Young Leaders Initiative invites student leaders from colleges and universities to participate in the 2015 Catholic Social Ministry Gathering in order to:

• Meet national Catholic social ministry and advocacy leaders.
• Build knowledge of current Catholic social ministry priorities and initiatives.
• Develop advocacy skills to empower students to call for positive change.
• Voice concerns with legislators on issues of human life and dignity in the U.S. and internationally.
• Grow in faith and studies through engagement with Catholic social ministry and advocacy, and
• Learn about paths to future work and ministry.
