New resources for your campus from the USCCB

  • The USCCB just released the online version of the United States Catholic Catechism for Adults (USCCA). The USCCA is based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church, walking the reader through the Creed, the sacraments, moral life in Christ and the prayers of the Church. Each chapter contains a story about a saint, blessed, or holy man or woman, a brief overview of the topic, reflection questions and a prayer. It’s a great resource for RCIA programs, faith sharing groups, and other students wanting to learn more about their faith. The USCCA is available in English and in Spanish.

  • Did you know that Pope Francis declared this upcoming year the Year of Consecrated Life? College campuses are important places where young people learn about different vocations in the world as they discern their own vocations. The USCCB put together a page of resources that celebrate religious life, including videos, prayers, and lists of events. The National Religious Vocation Conference also has a list of resources available for those who want to learn about and celebrate women and men in the consecrated life.

  • Are you a campus minister? The Campus Ministry Leadership Institute 2014 is a five-day training and working institute gathering student leaders and campus ministers from across the country as campus teams.  The institute is designed to produce effective leaders who work collaboratively to develop and implement successful Catholic Campus Ministry programs on college campuses, both private and public.
